Health camp


 IGNOU ORGANISED FREE HEALTH CHECK UP CAMP FOR EMPLOYEES





 Delhi, 22nd December 2015 


School of Health Sciences (SOHS), of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)  organised a one day free Health Check up Camp in Collaboration with Delhi Heart & Lung Institute  for all the IGNOU Employees, Daily Wagers and Staff on Contract basis including their family members in the Convention Centre, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi,  Where more than 130 employees and their family members availed the facility and were examined by the doctors.




 Dr. Varun Bansal and Dr.Sai Kiran Chowdhary, from Delhi Heart and Lung Institute provided Cardiac (Heart) and Pulmonary (Lung) consultation.  Following facilities were provided in the camp.

Ø  Blood Sugar
Ø  Pulmonary function Test
Ø  Pulse Oximetry

Last Date extended

IGNOU Extends the last date for Admission in January Cycle

Delhi, 30th November 2015



Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) extended the last date of admission forms for all the academic programmes in the common prospectus i.e. Fresh Admissions to 31st December 2015 without late fee and 15th January 2016 with a late fee of Rs 300/-.

The Date for Re-Registration is also extended till 31st December, 2015 with a late fee of Rs 500/- and 15thJanuary, 2016 with a late fee of Rs. 1000/- respectively.


Student Handbook and Prospectus is available in all the Regional Centers/ Study Centers of the university which can be obtained in person on payment of Rs.200/-. For further details please visit www.ignou.ac.in. Last date for application is 31st December 2015 without late fee and 15th January 2016 with a late fee of Rs 300/-.


The Admission form can also be submitted online by creating a user ID and Logging on the https://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in for instant issue of confirmation of form submission and online payment through net banking/debit card/credit card.

सत्रांत परीक्षा 01 दिसंबर 2015

इंदिरा गांधी राष्‍ट्रीय मुक्‍त विश्‍वविद्यालय की दिनांक 2015 की सत्रांत परीक्षा 01 दिसंबर 2015 से आरंभ होगी




इंदिरा गांधी राष्‍ट्रीय मुक्‍त विश्‍वविद्यालय की दिनांक 2015 की सत्रांत परीक्षा 01 दिसंबर 2015 से आरंभ होगी और 30 दिसंबर 2015 को समाप्‍त होगी।

विश्‍वविद्यालय में 877 परीक्षा केंद्र स्‍थापित किए गए हैं जिसमें 22 समुद्र पारीय केंद्र और 82 केंद्र जेल कैदियों के लिए है।

4,89,391 पात्र विद्यार्थियों को जिन्‍होंने सत्रांत परीक्षा में शामिल होने के लिए आवेदन किया था उन्‍हें हॉल टिकट (परीक्षा सूचना पर्ची) भेज दिए गए हैं। हॉल टिकट इग्‍नू की वेबसाइट www.ignou.ac.in पर भी उपलब्‍ध है।

विद्यार्थी विश्‍वविद्यालय की वेबसाइट से हॉल टिकट डाउनलोड कर परीक्षा में शामिल हो सकते हैं।

परीक्षा केंद्रों को यह निर्देश दिया गया है कि उन विद्यार्थियों को भी परीक्षा में शामिल होने की अनुमति प्रदान करें जिनके पास हॉल टिकट (परीक्षा सूचना पर्ची) नहीं है लेकिन उस केंद्र पर परीक्षार्थियों की सूची में उनका नाम है।

विद्यार्थियों को सलाह दी जाती है कि परीक्षा के दौरान विश्‍वविद्यालय द्वारा जारी किया गया मान्‍य पहचान पत्र अपने पास रखें। परीक्षा हॉल में मोबाइल फोन रखने की अनुमति नहीं है।

बीसीए और एमसीए के विद्यार्थियों को सत्रांत प्रायोगिक परीक्षा के लिए अलग से हॉल टिकट जारी किए जाएंगे। विद्यार्थियों को सलाह दी जाती है कि प्रायोगिक परीक्षाओं के लिए दिसंबर 2015 के अंतिम सप्‍ताह में अपने संबंधित क्षेत्रीय केंद्रों पर संपर्क करें। बीएलआईएससी (पुस्‍तकालय विज्ञान) के लिए सभी सैद्धान्‍तिक परीक्षा केंद्रों को प्रायोगिक परीक्षा संचालित करने के लिए सक्रिय नहीं किया गया है। विद्यार्थियों को सलाह दी जाती है कि प्रायोगिक परीक्षा केंद्र के लिए केंद्र अधीक्षक से संपर्क करें और नोटिस बोर्ड देखें।

IGNOU TO CONDUCT TERM END EXAM FROM DECEMBER 1ST 2015

The Term End Examination for December, 2015 of Indira Gandhi National Open University is going to commence from 1st December, 2015 and will conclude on 30thDecember, 2015.

The University has established 877 examination centres including 22 overseas centres and 82 centres in Jail for jail inmates.

Hall Ticket (Examination Intimation Slips) have been issued to 4,89,391  eligible students who had applied for appearing in the Term End Examination.  The hall ticket is available on IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in.

The students may download the Hall Tickets from the University website and appear in the examination.

The Examination Centres have been instructed to allow students to appear in examination, even if they do not possess the Hall Ticket (Examination Intimation Slips), but their names exist in the list of examinees for that centre.

Students are advised to be in possession of the valid Identity Card issued by the University during the Examination.  The mobile phones are not permitted inside the examination hall.

Separate Hall tickets shall be issued to the students of BCA & MCA for Term End practicals.  Students are advised to contact the respective Regional Centres in the last week of December, 2015 for their practical examinations.  For BLISc. (Library Science) all Theory Examination Centres are not activated for the conduct of Practical Examination.  Students are advised to contact the Centre Superintendent and see the Notice Board for Practical Examination Centre.

JOB FAIR


IGNOU organized All Women Job Fair at  Maidan Garhi Campus

The Campus Placement Cell (CPC) of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) organised an All Women Job Fair, where huge gathering of job seekers was witnessed, 672 female students participated in the fair. The students were interviewed by eight participating companies. The exclusive job fair for female students reiterates the University’s commitment towards the women empowerment.

In the event, various companies from different sectors participated and offered salary bracket of Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month. Apart from a leading private airlines company, TenderNews.com, ATS Services, Dash Career Fox Pvt. Ltd., Yatra.com, Goibibo.com, Aegis Ltd. and Policy Bazaar participated in the fair.


Dr. Manoj Kulshrestha, Director Incharge, CPC, expressed his happiness over the large turn out of the students for the event. He said for the better placement opportunities for the students, CPC is planning to organize a seminar of Placement Officers of the Universities/Colleges of Delhi NCR in near future so that the placement requirements of the students can be addressed in an integrated manner.

Merely large number of attendees was not only the enthusiastic aspect of the event, rather total number of selected/shortlisted students was also quite encouraging. Out of 672 candidates who participated in the fair, a total of 212 were selected or shortlisted. While maximum number of selections were seen in Policy Bazaar and TenderNews.com, the airline company, Goibibo.com and Yatra.com picked up 37, 20 and 15 students respectively.

The School of Law, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) organised; one day National Seminar on ‘The Preamble of the Constitution of India’ to mark the celebration of 125th Birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. Hon'ble Mr. Justice Jasti Chelameswar, Judge, Supreme Court of India was the Chief Guest along with Prof.' Nageshwar Rao, Vice Chancellor, IGNOU and Prof. Sushma Yadav, Pro-Vice Chancellor also presided over the seminar.

Hon'ble Mr. Justice Jasti Chelameswar, Judge, Supreme Court of India delivered the inaugural address on the theme “Constitutional debate on the Preamble of the Constitution of India”with special reference to deliverance of Justice. He discussed the Importance of Preamble in a constitution, He said "preamble is a part of constitution , it's duty of citizen to understand it."

This seminar had four Technical Sessions covering the entire gamut of the Preambular goals of the Constitution of India such as (i) Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic, Republic w.r.t. constitution 42nd amendment Act, 1976 on the Preamble, (ii) Justice: Social, Economic and Political, (iii) Liberty of thought, Expression, Belief, Faith and Worship and (iv) Equality of Status and Opportunity & Fraternity.

The Seminar focused on various Preambular goals visualized at the time of framing of the Constitution of India on the one hand and also make a fair assessment of the realization of the such ideals and goals enshrined in the Preamble of the Constitution of India in addition to finding out the reasons/obstacles, etc. encountered by the successive legislative, executive and judicial organs of the state since independence. This seminar  also focused on working out a future road map, if any, in furtherance of realization of the Preambular goals/ideals yet to be achieved/realized.
